Malaysia MOH setting CovidNow website

CovidNow is website has been launched by Ministry of health in Malaysia.

The website will be for general population to make more easy to share informations about COVID case.

CovidNow that will be updated daily at 11:59 PM also wil include details about the active cases and there presence, in home or hospitals.

Khairy Jamaluddin the minister of Health explaining COVIDNow website “lift the veil of secrecy in statistics”.

“The ministry will continue to analyse the data and it also welcomes opinion and analyses from relevant experts,” Khairy added.

And by the presence of COVIDNow website the ministry ensure that data and information regarding Covid-19 will be accessible to all.

“I hope that with all the data and information shared at GitHub and now on CovidNow, the public will have a better understanding of the Covid-19 situation in the country,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Health Minister said that Malaysia did not surrender in its fight against Covid-19 when it declared that it will slowly transition to the endemic stage.

He added that countries like Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, that had initially imposed containment and lockdown as a way to control the Covid-19, had also accepted that they have to live with the virus.

The minister mentioned to the public to make sure to continue wearing the face masks and keep proper social distancing despite the high rate of vaccination in the country. He also added that many countries and health providers mentioned that is is very difficult to get a herd immunity especially after the detection of the Covid-19 new variant mostly that contagious one Delta variant.

He explained that Malaysia is not surrendered to the pandemic it is a matter of adaptation with reality on the ground.

Added that on October Malaysia will move from the pandemic to the endemic situation.
